Jeff Usher is a pianist.
Piano, composition, blues vocals and lecturing all sit within Dr Jeff Usher's work, placing him among Queensland's leading jazz and blues artists. Griffith University's Queensland Conservatorium awarded his Masters of Music, and the University of Queensland his doctorate, earned for a body of work in music composition. Seven jazz records make up his catalogue, built alongside a teaching post at the Conservatorium that has run since 1998, pairing a long performing career with an academic one.
