Jesse Deane-Freeman

Blues, and a lot of it. Jesse Deane-Freeman has been playing the Australian scene since 1992 and has supported Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Johnnie Johnson, Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Teddy Morgan, Kirk Fletcher, Russell Morris and The Flying Burrito Brothers. Festival appearances include Byron Bay Bluesfest, Mornington Peninsula Blues Festival, Lithgow and Cairns. Seven albums since 1996. In Adelaide he runs three separate acts: solo, playing 1920s to 1950s blues on brass resonator guitars; The Rhythm Aces, doing 50s Chicago blues, early rock and roll and swamp blues with Jason Mannix on bass and Mario Marino on drums; and the JDF Trio, an improvising Hammond organ outfit taking in blues, jazz, lounge, Latin and funk instrumentals.
