Jesse Redwing plays the blues like he means it, with a voice full of heartbreak and a guitar tone that could have come straight out of a Mississippi juke joint. Howlin' Wolf and R.L. Burnside are in there, filtered through something recognisably Australian. In 2023 he won the Sydney Blues Society Challenge, which took him to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where he reached the semi-finals in 2024. Three European tours have followed, plus performances across the USA and extensive touring here. The show goes from raw acoustic storytelling to full electric blues with a band, depending on the room.
