A solo, non-stop, unassisted sail around the world features in Jessica Watson's story, completed over 210 days at sea and seven knockdowns before she returned to Sydney Harbour on 15 May 2010. The honour of Young Australian of the Year followed in 2011, and that December she skippered a Sydney to Hobart yacht race crew, earning an OAM the following January for her contribution to sailing and to inspiring young people. Her book True Spirit became a bestseller published in fifteen countries, and a documentary about the voyage, 210 Days, was narrated by Richard Branson. She has since co-founded a marine start-up, completed an MBA and written a novel, and speaks and consults on management topics.
