JESSIE GORDON QUARTET

Jessie Gordon is a Perth swing and soul singer whose festival work has taken her around Australia and through Germany, France, Spain and Sweden. She has fronted swing sextet The Darling Buds of May since 2004 and has appeared at Wintersun Nostalgia Festival, Swing Camp Oz, Melbourne Swing Festival and the Herräng dance festival. Her Perth Fringe World projects have included The Swing Revue, Tell Mama: The Music of Etta James, Grindhouse Duo and Stratosfunk. In 2013, three of her shows received award nominations, with Tell Mama winning the RTRFM Music Award. The quartet format brings that extensive jazz and swing background into a compact ensemble.
