Three left-handed guitars, one right-handed Flying V played upside down, and two hours of Hendrix. That's the shape of this Brisbane tribute show. The guitar tricks all get an outing: teeth, behind the head, behind the back, between the legs. Twenty six songs across two sets, opening with Purple Haze and running through Fire, Hey Joe, Foxy Lady, Stone Free and Spanish Castle Magic before Little Wing, Red House, All Along the Watchtower and Voodoo Child (Slight Return) close things out. Full production, lighting and two costume changes come with it. As a three piece, they need a decent stage for drums, a lead amp, a bass rig and a PA, plus wall space behind for the backdrop. Psychedelic blues, played loud.
