Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band

This one started in 2003 as a single booking for Island Time, Australia's biggest Jimmy Buffett event, and the band never really stopped. It's a big line-up drawn from South East Queensland players: steel drums, keys, sax and trumpet, three kinds of guitar, pedal steel, bass, drums, percussion and harmony vocals. That gives them the Coral Reefer sound rather than a thin approximation of it. The set moves between the quiet ones like A Pirate Looks At 40 and the singalongs, so Margaritaville, Cheeseburger In Paradise, Come Monday and It's Five O'Clock Somewhere all turn up. Easy listening country rock with a Caribbean tilt, and people do get up and dance to it.
