About this act
Jo Christy first played in Naarm in 2017 and later built a following in Eora, where she was one of very few trans DJs on the Sydney club circuit at the time. She runs the queer parties Transenergy and Work Wife, booking local legends alongside international headliners. Her own sound blends house, techno, hardgroove, UKG, progressive house and trance into expressive, nuanced mixes. She's supported Seth Troxler, Eris Drew & Octo Octa and THC, and made her festival main stage debut at Strawberry Fields in 2023. Between the production, the live hardware sets and the stage presence, she's building spaces for her community as much as playing them.
