Joe Man Murphy

Born in England and now based in Queensland, Joe Man Murphy performs folk-roots music built around storytelling, soaring vocals and instrumental work. His festival credits take in Palm Creek, Woodford and the National Folk Festival among others. Theatrical folk band Gypsy Rumble began as his own project, touring nationally and writing shows staged at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and a later stint as a member of The Timbers brought two co-written albums and extensive touring with that group as well.
