Johnny OKeefe Tribute
Based in Sydney
About this act
Johnny O'Keefe hosted Six O'Clock Rock, worked as an artist and repertoire consultant at Lee Gordon's Leedon label, and in 1960 became the first Australian rock and roll performer to properly take on the American market with a 35-state tour. This Sydney tribute brings that catalogue back with the At The Hop Show Band behind it: lead guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and sax. The show recalls the old Sydney Stadium days and the television years, and the frontman does not stay put on stage. Expect a participation-heavy party rather than a sit-down concert, with a couple of things in the running order you won't see coming.
