JP started out on music theory and wind instruments in Chile before a teacher spotted his rhythm and pointed him at a drum kit. It stuck immediately. He plays both hand and stick drums, with Latin jazz and rock in the background, and these days those Latin rhythms get played over house and tech records, which makes him a natural fit alongside a DJ. Based in St Kilda. He's covered everything from small gatherings to large festivals.
