Juanita Phillips

For 21 years Juanita Phillips anchored the ABC's flagship 7pm News in Sydney, becoming the public broadcaster's longest serving prime time female news presenter before her resignation in 2023. Earlier roles took her to London to anchor CNN's morning news and business bulletin and to the BBC, among the first Australians to present news there, along with time at Channel Ten and Sky News. She has written for The Bulletin and for News Corporation and Fairfax mastheads, and is the author of a series of children's books, The Newspaper Kids, and a memoir, A Pressure Cooker Saved My Life. She has also worked as an MC, speaker and panel moderator across business, fintech and cyber security, with clients spanning mining, banking, and state and local government.
