Live looping is the trick here. Julius Lutero records a guitar rhythm, a bass line and some percussion on the spot, then sings and plays lead over the top, so one person on stage ends up sounding like an acoustic band. The material is acoustic roots and blues: Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan on one side, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Ed Sheeran on the other, with Powderfinger, Crowded House and Missy Higgins keeping it local. Perth born. Julius also works as a duo with bass or drums, and as an electric trio with Roy Martinez on bass and Elliot Jebb on drums. Bose PA and lighting come along. Just supply power.
