Kari & Gar

Guitars in a range of tunings, a violin over the top, and a pile of original songs. Kari & Gar write their own material and have released a fair bit of it, and for festivals they're happy to play twice in a day or open for someone else, usually around 45 minutes of originals. Restaurants and cafes get a different set: originals mixed with traditional Irish tunes and ballads, plus covers from The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Steve Earle, Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Grateful Dead, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens and Steppenwolf. That can stretch to two or three 45 minute sets. Sound needs are light, one mic and a DI plus something for the fiddle, and for local restaurant gigs they'll bring their own PA.
