Kasey Chambers' 1999 album The Captain, recorded on Norfolk Island with guitar and vocal contributions from Buddy Miller and Julie Miller, won the ARIA Award for Best Country Album and set up a Best Female Artist win the year after. The album went double platinum in Australia and reached the top 50 of the Billboard country albums chart, with a US tour supporting Lucinda Williams and an Australian tour opening for Emmylou Harris. Barricades & Brickwalls followed in 2001, debuting at number four before lead single Not Pretty Enough went to number one, with Chambers holding the number-one single and album positions simultaneously. A cover of True Colours became the 2003 Rugby World Cup theme song. Her awards also include CMAA Golden Guitars.
