Katharine

Katharine has been working Australian dance floors with her sideways house since 2000 and now plays in Melbourne. She has recently supported Silat Beksi, Herck, Monika Ross and Crihan. For over a decade she has run Motion:Theory:Music parties at Killing Time, a series and label she runs with Ben Abrahams, and she is an official resident for Timeless at KT. The five hour vinyl sets at lounge bars like Black Cat and Fiftyfive are what she is known for, along with a three hour vinyl set at the Breakfast Club rooftop. Her take on minimal pulls in lush techno, breaks and West Coast house. She has put out more than 36 guest mixes in the last few years and hosts the Selekt Sessions mix series with Rupert Wall of Brooklyn. Her Romanian influenced microhouse has support from Half is Enough Romania, Feeder Sound, Fratii.Ro and the Spclnch label.
