Classical foundations led into a place on WAAPA's contemporary music program for Kelly Read, and later into further study of keyboard, vocals and songwriting geared toward pop and rock at Berklee in Massachusetts. Her performance formats have included fronting six-piece outfits Soul Corporation and Hot Chilli, as well as solo, duo and classical trio bookings. A performance of the national anthem before a WAFL Grand Final crowd at Subiaco Oval sits among the standout credits, alongside residencies held at Crown Casino, the Universal Bar, the Subiaco Hotel and the Pullman resort at Bunker Bay. Genres covered range from jazz through acoustic country to blues, pop and rock.
