Khai builds a full sound on his own: smooth vocals with real power behind them, rhythmic acoustic guitar, bluesy solos, kick stomp, and fast looping that stacks percussion, riffs and vocal parts on the fly. The set leans contemporary pop, with John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Stevie Wonder in the mix. Wedding sets take in Can't Help Falling in Love, Perfect, Tennessee Whiskey and Just the Way You Are, and the singalong list runs to 500 Miles and Chicken Fried. He reads the room, knowing when to sit back and when to lift it. Spotify covers the 15 minute break each hour, so the music never stops dead. He brings all equipment and lighting, and needs a dry two by two metre space, power, and half an hour beforehand.
