Country town upbringing, city diary. Kiara sings solo with an acoustic guitar around Sydney, and the country and folk records she grew up on still sit underneath everything she plays. She picked up music at five and works at it full time now, splitting her calendar between weddings, live music venues and festivals. Ed Sheeran, Matt Corby and Maren Morris are the touchstones she names, though what comes out is her own arrangement rather than a copy of anyone. Polished vocals, one guitar, no backing tracks doing the heavy lifting. It suits a ceremony, a long lunch, or a room that wants real singing without a full band taking over.
