Swinging voodoo blues with rockabilly and surf pushed into it, played by four people in Wollongong who clearly enjoy themselves. KINGPIN DELUXE pulls from Chuck Berry and Eric Clapton through Steve Cropper, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Amy Winehouse and The Mavericks, which is a wider net than most blues bands throw. The grooves lean hard toward the dance floor. As the band puts it, this is music for dancin' and drinkin', not too much thinkin'. Good fit for a party or a pub night where you want people up rather than nodding along at the bar.
