About this act
Kristi started on piano in Temora at nine, moved to guitar at twelve, and was writing her own songs by thirteen. She played country pubs from eighteen, formed the duo Broken Silence with her sister Kim, toured the Riverina with the band Final Exit, then spent three years in Canberra bars supporting up and coming Australian artists. Back home, she and her sisters became Kindred Spirit, three part harmonies over acoustic guitar. Since 2003 she has lived on the Central Coast, recorded the EP A Little Solace, and formed ish with Suzette and Loren Kate, touring NSW, ACT, Victoria and South Australia and playing the 2006 Peats Ridge Festival alongside Angus and Julia Stone and Tim Freedman. She writes solo now, and the songs carry that history.
