La Figa is a queer DJ whose sets pull African percussion, Latin American grooves, Arabic melody and Balearic warmth into one continuous thread. Live instrumentation runs all the way through, which keeps it feeling human rather than programmed. The result lands somewhere between primal and futuristic, and it moves. Sydney based, and a genuinely different booking for an event that wants a global sound rather than another house set.
