About this act
Two different shows, same musician. For kids, Lauren Butler runs interactive sets built on singalongs and movement songs, the ones that work every time: Wheels on the Bus, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Shake Your Sillies Out, Kookaburra, You Are My Sunshine. Good for libraries, schools, festivals and vacation care. For everyone else, she plays upbeat country, folk and bluegrass, solo, or as a duo with banjo, slide guitar or fiddle, or a trio with harmonies for a fuller festival sound. Sets run 45 minutes, with one to three of them depending on the format. She can play acoustically in a small room, or plug in for a bigger crowd. All she really needs is a flat three by three metre space and something soft for the kids to sit on.
