Sydney-based Linda Wood writes and performs pop songs that pull in hip-hop, blues and jazz, built around a cabaret style shaped by a background in musical theatre and in rock, soul and pop covers bands. Alongside solo shows, Wood has performed with a group called The Bettys, including a Christmas incarnation on ABC statewide radio. Stage credits include Leader of the Pack, Downtown, Straight Up Rogue and Back to the 80s, and Wood directed the vocals for a 2006 New York workshop production of Angels, having performed in its Sydney recording that July. An album, Duel, was promoted through the UK in 2008. Performances suit solo sets or various band combinations.
