Piano, drums and percussion all sit under Lionel Cole's own playing, built across a career that runs from touring as a member of Mariah Carey's live band to co-writing her single Through the Rain, which reached number one on the US sales and dance charts. Cole also partnered with Malcolm-Jamal Warner to form the jazz and funk band Miles Long, whose debut album featured En Vogue's Cindy Herron and Teena Marie. A remix credit follows too: Cole reworked the chart hit Hard to Say I'm Sorry by AZ Yet, and in 2010 toured with Rickie Lee Jones. Based in Sydney, Cole also appeared as a contestant on The Voice's third season, working as pianist, songwriter, composer and public speaker alongside the performing.
