Lost Legends

Lost Legends honour the Australian singers who are no longer here to sing for themselves. The roll call runs through Billy Thorpe, Ray Brown, Shirley Strachan, Ted Mulry, Darryl Cotton, Maurice and Robin Gibb, Bon Scott, Doc Neeson, Chrissy Amphlett, Michael Hutchence, Stevie Wright and Jon English. What separates it from a straight covers night is that the band members worked and toured alongside those artists, so the stories between songs are first hand rather than researched. An audio visual montage runs behind the music, with archival footage, interviews, costuming and a fair bit of light comedy. Each era gets treated on its own terms.
