Songwriter and founding member Steve Jean has been at it for twenty years across Australia, Europe and Japan, pulling in whichever players suit the songs, and the material carries traces of all three places along with the back streets of Melbourne. He came up on the Melbourne pub rock scene and took in every guitar legend it had going. What Lot56 do with all that is raucous, good time rock and roll that sounds like the band it comes from.
