Indie rock with surf guitar underneath it and classic rock in the bones. Love Drunk Hearts write about modern life as it actually is, messy and complicated and occasionally lovely, and their songs take their time getting where they're going. That's the appeal. There's room in the arrangements for atmosphere to settle and for a story to unfold rather than being rushed to a chorus. The Manly band suit rooms where people are listening as well as drinking. If you want a pop band that leans a little left of the obvious, they're worth a look.
