LUNA

Percussion sits at the centre of what LUNA plays. Originally from South America and now based in Fitzroy, she builds sets as journeys rather than sequences of tracks, moving through lush soundscapes without worrying much about genre lines, and always with the floor in mind. She started DJing in New Zealand, where she shared the booth with Paramida, Fred Again, Cinthie, Bella Claxton, Lazywax and Dusky, among plenty of local names. The through line is rhythm, and taking people somewhere with it.
