Mahogany Flow

Mahogany Flow are fronted by British-Caribbean vocalist Laura Stephenson, whose voice has taken her around the world, alongside Banel Martinez, one of Sydney's better guitarists and live loopers. He brings improvisation with a Latin jazz flavour and a heavy groove underneath. The result is R&B that does not sound like anyone else's, largely because the two halves come from such different places. Sydney based, and worth hearing for the interplay alone.
