Maitê Inaê is a singer, producer and writer making Brazilian-Australian experimental soul rooted in rhythm, movement and ancestral grooves. She was raised by musicians and shaped by a capoeira master mother, and a lifetime of vinyl and storytelling sits behind the writing. That's an unusual set of foundations, and the music sounds like it. Afro-Brazilian at its core, and genuinely experimental rather than nominally so.
