Burlesque, hosting and pop culture collide in Mara Maraschino's Brisbane-based act, built for adults and delivered with a deliberately chaotic streak. She picked up the title Mx Burlesque in 2022 and has teased audiences across Australia and internationally, though Brisbane's burlesque and drag scenes remain her home base. Beyond performing, Mara strips, hosts, co-produces and teaches burlesque, and puts her energy into supporting emerging artists coming up behind her. The act is written and staged for an adults-only room throughout.
