Marc Ryan aka The Beautiful Bogan

Marc Ryan performs as The Beautiful Bogan, an award-winning comedian and keynote speaker who talks about mental health by making people laugh first. His own experience of PTSD, depression and anxiety sits at the centre of it. Four years ago he built a tour called 'The Beautiful Bogan vs The Black Dog': 30 gigs in 30 days, played in mining camps, a local church, a boxing gym and on a skate ramp. Since then he's taken the same message to drought-affected communities on the Eyre Peninsula and to towns hit by fire. A set runs roughly 15 to 20 minutes of jokes to build rapport, 10 minutes of straight talk about lived experience, then another 15 of comedy so the room leaves lighter than it arrived. Corporates, government, universities and community groups all book him. All he needs is a PA.
