Two years behind the decks in Melbourne, and Marcel Haj has already worked his way through a good spread of the city's venues. The sets lean party first: high energy, built to keep a floor busy rather than to show off a record collection. He mixes familiar tracks with newer ones and watches the room to decide which way to push. Club nights, private parties, birthdays, the brief is much the same each time. He came up through Melbourne nightlife and he's still building the name there.
