Marcus Corowa

Marcus Corowa writes from the heart and sings it smooth. He draws on his Aboriginal and South Sea Islander roots and folds in classic RnB, which lands somewhere soulful and unhurried. He grew up in Bowen on the Queensland coast, picked up a guitar at six, moved to Brisbane with his family as a teenager and was sorting mail at Australia Post before committing to music in late 2009. Inside two years he was a finalist in the Q Song Awards in 2010 and the APRA Professional Development Awards in 2011. A move to Sydney followed, and he played the 2012 Yabun Festival alongside Jessica Mauboy and Dan Sultan. His EP The Greater You is out.
