Mari-ko Firetwirler

Fire, LED and silk. Mari-ko works across all three from a Melbourne base, twirling poi and fans, dancing with brightly coloured silks, and eating fire when the show calls for it. The movement is rhythmic and controlled rather than frantic, which reads well in wedding photos and holds a main-stage crowd just as well. LED shows can carry a programmable logo or message. Costumes are made to match a theme, with modest options for cultural events. Duet and group shows are available. Safety is handled properly: the venue manager signs off a work methods statement, performers bring their own blankets, wet towels, extinguisher and first aid kit, and a fire safety assistant is on hand throughout. Venue approval is required before any fire show.
