About this act
Marilyn McClean cut her teeth fronting some of Perth's best bands, then went on to record an album after being picked out of a large field of hopefuls. The first single from Gentle Rain, Moving On, reached number two on the Australian country charts. The follow up, Break It Down, got to number three. Since then she has performed in Melbourne and Sydney, done television and radio, sung sessions, played charity events and picked up a string of awards. Her set is full of songs people already know, from I Will Survive and Hurt So Good through Shania Twain and the Eagles to The Greatest Love Of All. Supports have included Kate Ceberano, Alannah Myles, The Australian Doors and Bjorn Again.
