Jay Bingle works Brisbane weddings and further afield as both celebrant and MC, and he dresses for the job: Cuban boots, three-piece suits, bowties made of timber or feathers. The look is deliberate, meant to sit alongside a couple's own styling rather than compete with it. Ceremonies get built from scratch, sometimes out of a lounge-room picnic conversation, and some couples end up with a script written in the style of a children's book. In 2024 he was a finalist in the Queensland ABIA Wedding Awards for both Marriage Celebrant and Master of Ceremonies.
