That's the point of a classical and Spanish guitarist, and Marty Stewart has built an entire career on instrumental music that fills a room without ever competing with the conversation in it. Hundreds of gigs behind him. The repertoire runs from Recuerdos de la Alhambra and Tarrega's Lagrima through Villa Lobos and Bach's Prelude in D, into jazz and Latin standards like Caravan, Blue Moon and The Girl from Ipanema, and out the other side to Blackbird, Yesterday and Under the Bridge. Weddings and receptions, corporate functions, fundraisers, cafes and restaurants around Chatswood and greater Sydney. He carries busking gear so outdoors is fine, as long as there's shade and a roof if the sky opens.
