Matt Black

Matt Black is hard to file under one heading, which is rather the point. A restaurant or lounge bar gets acoustic instrumentals with a Spanish and classical flavour. A pub gets rock. Late in a club set, loops and custom backing build the sound out to something closer to a full band. He mixes covers with originals and shifts the set as the afternoon turns into a night. The voice does husky and clean across a wide range, and he's as comfortable serenading a dinner crowd in Bundaberg as pushing a dance floor along.
