Max Carr is an Australian singer and songwriter whose music comes out of raw blues and pub worn rock and roll. He's best known as the force behind the band Profannity, but he has gone back to the solo project under his own name and stripped things down to where it started: gritty blues grooves and unfiltered storytelling. The voice is weathered and distinctive. The songs deal in humour, hardship and honesty, and they sound like they were made across years of relentless gigging rather than in a studio.
