Max Carr is a singer-songwriter.
Blues and pub rock sit at the root of this Australian singer-songwriter's solo work, built on a stripped-back sound and lived-in storytelling rather than studio polish. Before returning to his own name, Max Carr fronted the band Profannity, and the bluesy foundations of that earlier work still shape his songwriting now. Weathered, distinctive vocal delivery carries the material, built over years of regular gigging rather than time spent in a studio. Humour and hardship both surface in the songwriting, drawn from experience rather than constructed for effect, and the set stays close to blues grooves and classic pub rock swagger throughout.
