Max Hoorn

A voice with real weight behind it, and a covers list that wanders wherever the room wants to go. Max Hoorn works out of Salisbury in Brisbane's south, playing acoustic sets that pull from folk, classic rock, 80s and 90s radio staples and whatever else fits the crowd. Looping lets one guitar and one voice sound bigger than they should. And if you want more than that, the same act scales up to a duo, a trio or a four piece. Setup is about as easy as live music gets: he brings his own PA and microphones, and all he asks for is a power point. Pubs, weddings, backyard parties, function rooms. Same approach, different volume.
