Based in Brisbane, her radio segment Mel's Strongly Worded Letters became a regular fixture on triple j Breakfast, alongside guest spots on ABC Brisbane and other national radio. Television appearances have taken in a weekly guest slot on This Week Live, a run on Network Ten's The Project, and three ABC TV credits: Tractor Monkeys, Back Seat Drivers and a stint on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. She also wrote a column for the Courier Mail during her time on the live comedy circuit.
