Melba Strings is a string quartet.
Four of Melbourne's string players make up this quartet: two violins, viola and cello, each internationally trained and highly experienced. Funerals, parties, corporate events, business functions and weddings are all named among the settings the group performs at, with a repertoire spanning classical works, contemporary pop in a Bridgerton-style arrangement, and jazz standards. Melba Strings brings live background music built for that range of occasions rather than one type of event alone.
