Melly Mellody

Melly specialises in the songs of the 1920s through to the 1970s, which makes her a natural fit for aged care and retirement village entertainment. The concert is vintage in style and interactive by design: song books are handed out and residents are encouraged to sing along. For retirement villages she can shift the repertoire later, into the fifties through seventies. She is available Wednesday to Friday, and happy to build a set around Happy Hours, Mother's and Father's Day, Christmas in July or whatever theme the calendar throws up. Beyond the solo work she plays with musicians from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in anything from an acoustic duo to a sixteen piece big band, covering Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Etta James, Bessie Smith, Peggy Lee, Joe Cocker, Norah Jones and Aretha Franklin, plus Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and Adele.
