Melody Graves
About this act
Two formats sit under the Melody Graves banner: a six-piece outfit called Melody Graves and the Hokum Redemption, and a smaller quartet known as the Melody Graves Combo. Jazz, swing and blues combine across both, with a particular focus on New Orleans music from the 1920s through to the 1940s. Several of Brisbane's established jazz musicians feature within the lineup. Festivals, venues and jazz clubs across the region have hosted the act, with the two-lineup structure letting a booking choose scale to suit the event.
