Michael Scriha

Mackay born, Mackay based, with a Bachelor of Music in jazz and pop from CQCM in between. Michael Scriha has spent ten years since on pub stages, corporate rooms and wedding dance floors, and his playing pulls from the Beatles, Grinspoon, John Mayer and the Offspring, which lands somewhere between rock, pop, jazz and alternative. He's performed with Sofar Sounds Brisbane, Johnny Rhythm and the 60s Project, and supported Wendy Matthews. Voice and guitar do the work. He also loops, which fills out a solo set without dragging extra people onto the stage. Original songwriting sits alongside the covers.
