About this act
Two traditions, both loud. Miika Entertainment is a Melbourne performance group working in West African drumming and dance, presented as live shows and also taught through workshops and regular classes. The second string is Brazilian: samba rhythms, drums, dancers in full carnival costume and acrobatics worked into the floor show. Events range across weddings, birthdays, hens nights and corporate functions, and the shows are built to pull the crowd in rather than keep them watching from a distance. The workshop side is deliberately open to everyone, with sessions run for preschool groups through to older adults in residential care.
