MILL POINT ENSEMBLES

Mill Point Ensembles brings a theatrical contemporary approach to string music, moving between classical repertoire, work by young Perth composers and arrangements of pop songs. The group formed in 2009 through players from the WA Academy of Performing Arts. Its core musicians include violinists Adam Brockway and Adrian Yeo, violist Alix Hamilton and cellist Beren Scott. Performances can take place in unexpected spaces around Perth, reflecting the ensemble’s interest in reaching younger audiences and reshaping expectations around classical presentation. Mill Point is available as a duo, trio or quartet, allowing the string line-up to suit different rooms and programs.
